Tattoo Doodles: 108 Circles

I've "decided" on the simpler one on the left. I'm crazy in love with this idea. It's reminiscent of my senior installation. Since the day I started planning those pinch pots, I've obsessively doodled the diminishing circles. They're present in a new thing I'm mulling over with watercolor and wax and other eclectic media.

Of course, the Dancing Ganesha comes first, but the cool thing about 108 circle tattoos is I could get like a few at a time. I can outsource the math to Shane for proportional measurements. Oh yes- I am that particular.

  1. I like the pin up girl ones... LOL (As an aside, my tattoo craziness is that I am totally OCD about symmetry and tats, I've probably told you that before? So if I was to get this tattoo, it'd have to be up both legs... or on the torso, where it doesn't need symmetry!)

  2. I used to know a lady who had tats of paw prints on her legs, and they weren't the paw prints from Blue's Clues, either!

  3. Heh... Lexi, my body decided against symmetry long ago- LOL! I do love symmetrical tattoos, though. Especially large graphic ones like this.

Nell, you should totally get a Clue tattoo! LMAO. Mary would lurve:)

  4. haha, nah, I don't mean *bodies* should be symmetrical, just that if you have a tat on one side, there should be a counter balance on the other (mot necessarily the same thing...) I love asymmetry when it is meaningful, but most tats are distractingly singular, kwim?

  5. I think this is a brilliant idea. My next one is going to be the music notation of songs I've written wrapped around my leg, similar to what you have above. Love the dots.

  7. There was a cute journal with circles all over the cover (but a big scratch, or I'd have gotten it for you) at TJ Maxx Sunday night. I thought of my souster.
