Plans, News, Bits, & Such

I feel like I have a lot going on, but it's probably just the contrast between 2011 life (drugs pain scars bed) and 2012 life (work design friends writing love). I'm adjusting. I have more energy than I did through December and January, and the pain is far better. My scar is flattened.

Here are the two endeavors occupying my mind at present:

I've finished the art for the cover of Crystal Good's chapbook, Valley Girl. It's a gritty but gorgeous chemical valley sketch. I'm going to show it off very soon. We're using typography in a groovy way to translate her spoken word rhythms into the visual format. This is a delight for my synaesthesia-obsessed brain.

I'm going to be contributing to a feminist Doctor Who blog. I'm as infatuated with the project as you'd expect. My fellow writers are using the word kyriarchy and squeeing about their favorite incarnations of the good doctor. It is a deep, lovely thing to analyze pop/cult culture through a lens of sociological interests. In other words: w00t!!!!1!!!!!ONE!!!!yessssssssssss!!!!!!!!!! It's called Doctor Her. I'll link up as soon as the goodness unfolds.

So, lots doing. Making ideas. Big coffee. Allons-y!
