Business Resources for Creatives: Friday Favorites

I've come across some really great knowledge banks for creatives in my meandering research for a business plan. I know a lot of my bleaders are artists and bloggers and traditional media writers, so I hope you'll enjoy a break from medical updates and mommyblogging and find some of these resources helpful. These are practical, action-item type tools, but I'll do a more psyche and spirit oriented post as a companion next Friday.

Chuck Wendig's hilarious and brilliant blog Terrible Minds is a thing of snarky, cursing intelligence. He's a great Twitter follow as well, @ChuckWendig

Lori McNee's Fine Art Tips blog is packed with information for selling and marketing art. Her Twitter stream  @LoriMcNeeArtist is a prolific font of useful ideas. I love Lori because although our visual tastes differ pretty strongly, she seriously knows her field. Her site could probably be used alone to start a very successful art business. She's very conversational and approachable and engages with Twitter followers frequently. She's active on G+ too- Yay!

FASO, Fine Art Studio Online publishes one of the very few newsletters I actually read. Their blog and emails feature guest artists writing about their businesses. It's a bit more geared to gallery-type artists than my mode of DIY Etsy Junkie art selling, but is still richly useful. Follow them on Twitter @FasoBuzz and on Google Plus +FASO

Have any favorite tools and tips or pools of brainy goodness to share? Link my comments up & I'll add your recommendations to the post.

Happy Weekend!
