It's my favorite winter tradition: the deep green of pine or fir hung with baubles, old pagan beauty shining warm by the hearth.

I wish you light hearts and love surrounding you as our sun begins growing from a tiny star seed toward the brilliant glow of summer. I'm a content mama now, doodling in the last few pages of my 2013 sketchbook and drinking coffee from a mug made by hand by my sistermama Cara. (We need a better title than step-sister-in-law, darlin'.)

We're off soon to my Dad's and J-Mom's to celebrate with them, my brother and stepbrother, and my... Cara. I'm excited to see their twinkly-eyed elfling Bodhi and to meet tiny Adorae for the first time.

Be warm in this winter, my friends.
Much love.
